Packers inactives list for Week 1 game against Eagles
The wait is over. The Green Bay Packers are in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Head coach Matt LaFleur said this is one of the healthiest teams he's had during his time in Green Bay, but the Packers aren't fully healthy. They have already lost running back AJ Dillon for the year, putting his future with the team in doubt. It didn't help that two running backs were added to the Week 1 injury report, either.
Before gameday, the Packers had already ruled out edge rusher Arron Mosby, who didn't travel with the team due to a personal matter. The Eagles confirmed linebacker Devin White and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers would miss the season opener.

Unsurprisingly, the Packers have been cautious with rookie running back MarShawn Lloyd. He missed the final two preseason games due to a hamstring injury, and Green Bay is smart not to rush him back too soon.
The Packers promoted Ellis Merriweather from the practice squad to cover for Lloyd. The good news is that running back Emanuel Wilson is good to go, and tight end Tucker Kraft is also available despite dealing with a back injury.

The outcome of this game won't make or break either team's season, but it counts. Who knows how important the head-to-head tiebreaker could be later in the year? Rewind to 2014, and the Packers' Week 1 loss to the Seattle Seahawks ended up determining the No. 1 seed at the end of the regular season.
It's also a chance for both teams to make a statement. A win tonight with a good performance will put the rest of the league on notice.
Both teams have Super Bowl aspirations, but only one can leave Brazil with a victory. Hopefully, both teams can stay healthy, avoid injuries, and the Packers find a way to win.
