Packers inactives list for Week 5 game against Rams
The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams meet for the fifth season in a row. Both teams enter the game without several key players, notably at the wide receiver position.
Los Angeles has ruled out star wide receiver Cooper Kupp, while Puka Nacua is still on injured reserve. Green Bay listed Christian Watson as doubtful on the injury report and suspended Romeo Doubs for one game, which means he will also miss this matchup.
The Rams have ruled out defensive lineman Larrell Murchison but get cornerback Darious Williams back from injured reserve.
Watson is officially out, and the Packers won't have defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt available in this game due to an ankle injury. Cornerback Jaire Alexander, guard Jordan Morgan are among the inactive players.
Here are the inactives for both teams:
Full inactives list for Packers in Week 5
Player | Position | Injury |
---|---|---|
Christian Watson | WR | Ankle |
Jaire Alexander | CB | Quad/Groin |
Devonte Wyatt | DL | Ankle |
Brenton Cox | DL | N/A |
Jordan Morgan | T/G | Shoulder |
Travis Glover | T | N/A |
The good news is that the Packers get cornerback Carrington Valentine back this week. Alexander is out for another game, but Valentine's return gives the defense a boost.
Romeo Doubs is not on the inactive list because the Packers suspended him for one game. He will not play in today's game against the Rams but can return next week. Losing Devonte Wyatt hurts the defense, as he had made a fast start to the season. Green Bay needs Kenny Clark to have a big game.
