Reinforcements are on the way for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Love has missed his top wide receiver and running back in the Packers' previous two games, but he has still made plays. We have yet to see Love with a full-strength receiving corps, but that is about to change.

The Packers host the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football in a battle for first place in the NFC North. It's a huge game. And the Packers are expected to have two of their star players returning to help Love.

Green Bay Packers injury report Week 4: Aaron Jones and Christian Watson expected to return

Running back Aaron Jones has missed the past two games, while Christian Watson is yet to play this season. Both have been dealing with hamstring injuries.

They are both expected to return this week against the Lions.

Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs let it slip on Tuesday that Jones will play this week. He made it pretty clear that Jones will return. Whether he was supposed to reveal that information is another question, but Doubs left little doubt that the Packers will have their star running back available on Thursday.

And it looks like Christian Watson will play, too.

"That's the plan," Watson told reporters.

Again, he made it pretty clear. There was no hesitation or comments like "We'll see." It's the plan for him to play, which shows the Packers are confident his injury is behind him.

It's unclear whether left tackle David Bakhtiari or right tackle Zach Tom will play against the Lions, but it seems likely Love will have all of his running backs and receivers available for the first time this season, which is huge.

The Packers have battled with injuries to key players this season. Finally, they have received some good news ahead of their most important game yet.
