Packers 4-round mock draft after latest major free agency moves

The Green Bay Packers may not be far off from having the best roster in the NFC. Although that may seem hyperbolic or unrealistic on paper, it's not too far from the truth to start believing. The Packers took the 49ers to the brink in the playoffs, and they've built upon the roster core by adding studs like Josh Jacobs and Xavier McKinney to address some of their top areas of need in NFL free agency.

How can the Packers put their roster over the top in the 2024 NFL Draft? Picking 25th overall in the first round isn't ideal, but there should be great value prospects available to Green Bay as well as the flexibility with multiple picks in Rounds 2 and 3 to be able to trade up as they desire.

This may seem a little rich for Cooper or an off-ball linebacker, but not for the Packers in their current context. Hey, you're already paying a running back and a safety big money in NFL free agency. Who cares about the positional value of a linebacker here in Round 1?

With defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley pivoting this team to a 4-3 personnel base, additional linebacker help is needed. Especially after the Packers decided to cut veteran De'Vondre Campbell, they need help at this position group.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com has Edgerrin Cooper as his 24th overall player in this year's class.
