Packers free agents: Who stays, who goes?

Packers re-signings

  • S Rudy Ford (One year, $1.2 million)
  • LB Eric Wilson (One year, $1.2 million)
  • P Daniel Whelen (ERFA tender)
  • T Caleb Jones (ERFA tender)
  • RB Emanuel Wilson (ERFA tender)
  • WR Bo Melton (ERFA tender)

The Packers may choose to move on from most of their unrestricted free agents. In this scenario, they prioritize special teams by re-signing Rudy Ford and Eric Wilson to team-friendly deals. Ford also has starting experience on defense, giving the Packers additional depth at an area of need.

Green Bay brings back four exclusive rights free agents. Daniel Whelan is coming off a solid first season as the Packers' punter. Caleb Jones could win the swing tackle job this summer. Emanuel Wilson will compete for a spot on the 53-man roster. Bo Melton became a go-to target for Jordan Love late in the season.

Free agents who sign elsewhere

  • TE Tyler Davis
  • TE Josiah Deguara
  • RB AJ Dillon
  • T Yosh Nijman
  • CB Keisean Nixon
  • S Jonathan Owens
  • G Jon Runyan Jr.
  • S Darnell Savage

There are no standout names who the Packers must re-sign this offseason. Green Bay would lose depth at tight end, running back, tackle, and safety by allowing these players to sign elsewhere in free agency.
