Packers News: Brett Favre on Jordan Love, Taylor Swift, Aaron Rodgers, injury updates
Brett Favre praises Jordan Love
Hall of Famer and Packers legend Brett Favre has been watching Jordan Love closely this season, including in last week's win over the Lions. And he is impressed.
Speaking to Tyler Dunne of the Go Long podcast, Favre said Love "looked great" against the Lions and was impressed with how Love "surgically destroyed" Detroit's defense.
"I like what I see," said Favre. "I talked about how the players seem to respond well to Jordan. An important element to success is, do the guys rally around you? Do they want to win for you? They should want to win anyway, but there's something to be said about being likeable, being a team leader. I think Jordan Love has shown that throughout."
He's not wrong. Love has had the support of his teammates from the moment he took over as the starting quarterback. There has never been any doubt about how popular Love is in the Packers' locker room.
And he delivered on the field against the Lions, throwing for 268 yards and three touchdowns. And he could've put up even bigger numbers. Had it not been for a Josh Myers missed block that hurried Love, he may have connected with a wide-open Christian Watson for a game-sealing touchdown. It would've given Love 300+ passing yards and four touchdowns on the day.
Love is playing the best football of his career, and Favre is impressed.
