So, you're saying there's a chance? You bet there is.

While reports have suggested the Green Bay Packers could miss Jordan Love for multiple weeks, the team has never said as much. Every time head coach Matt LaFleur stood at the podium, he said Love was working hard to play and hadn't been ruled out.

It felt like nothing more than gamesmanship. However, actions speak louder than words, and the Packers' actions are screaming a totally different story than reports have indicated.

The Packers have officially listed Love as questionable on their Week 2 injury report, and it's a significant update.

Packers list Jordan Love as questionable for Week 2: What it means

The NFL takes injury designations seriously. There are three options: Questionable, Doubtful, and Out. The league expects full transparency from teams on the status they designate for injured players.

If the Packers know Love won't play, they must rule him out. They would list him as doubtful if they believe he is unlikely to play. According to the league's policy, a questionable tag means it's "uncertain" if a player will play.

Green Bay went with questionable over doubtful, leaving the door wide open for Love to surprisingly start in Week 2. While it may still sound improbable only nine days after suffering a sprained MCL, the Packers have confirmed there is a greater-than-zero chance that he will play in Week 2, which is a stunning development.

We all feared the worst when Love initially went down. Even after more positive news emerged, the expectation was that the Packers would miss their franchise quarterback for multiple weeks.

They still might. But the decision to list him as questionable is notable.

Gamesmanship may have played a role earlier in the week, but it's hard to imagine the Packers would run the risk of listing him as questionable if they genuinely believed he couldn't play. The NFL takes it seriously, and rightly so.

Will Love play? Up to this point, LaFleur's comments felt like nothing. Simply a reason to make the Colts prepare for him.

This update confirms there is a real chance he suits up. The door was never fully shut. Now, the Packers have pushed it wide open.
