Packers schedule 2023: Game-by-game predictions for upcoming season
Week 6: BYE
Week 7: Green Bay at Denver
You may remember the Packers' last road game against the Broncos back in 2015. Aaron Rodgers had 77 passing yards as Green Bay lost 29-10. That game was also in Week 7 with the Packers coming off their bye. Mike McCarthy's team entered the game 6-0 and was fresh after a week off, but it didn't matter.
Denver is a tough place to visit for any offense, especially an inexperienced one like Green Bay's. While the Broncos' defense isn't as good as the 2015 team, this is still a unit that ranked seventh in total yards allowed last season. Playing on the road isn't easy, and the Packers' offense runs into some challenges in this game, a tough loss to the Broncos.
Prediction: Denver 14, Green Bay 10 (2-4)
Week 8: Green Bay vs. Minnesota
The Packers' defense shut down the Vikings' offense at Lambeau Field last season. Jaire Alexander had his best game of the year matched up against Justin Jefferson, and Green Bay intercepted Kirk Cousins three times.
It may take a similar performance from Joe Barry's unit to get the win over Minnesota again this season. That game shows the Packers the way to beat the Vikings at home.
Meanwhile, Jordan Love gets to test a Vikings defense that ranked No. 31 against the pass last season. Love puts in a great performance, leading the Packers to a divisional victory.
