Ranking the top 10 Packers running backs of all time
- Packers all-time leading rusher tops the list?
- Most rushing TDs in Packers history?
- Some gems through the years
7. Tony Canadeo
Tony Canadeo's number 3 jersey is retired for the Green Bay Packers after a career that saw him run for 4,197 yards and 26 touchdowns. Canadeo ranks 5th all-time in Packers history in rushing but he's a franchise legend for more than just what he did as a ball carrier.
Canadeo threw 268 career passes in addition to what he did as a runner. He returned kicks and punts. He was the punter. He had nine career interceptions as a defensive player.
These guys were built differently. The "Gray Ghost of Gonzaga" is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and was a two-time first-team All-Pro in his playing days for the Packers, which spanned over 12 years.
6. Dorsey Levens
Dorsey Levens finished an impressive 11-year NFL career with almost 5,000 rushing yards, 3,937 of which came as a member of the Green Bay Packers. Levens helped the Packers win Super Bowl XXXI but really started to shine in the years after.
During the late 90s, Levens was a beast. He made the Pro Bowl in the 1997 season with over 1,800 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns, averaging nearly 90 rushing yards per game. Levens ranks 7th in Packers history in rushing yards, 11th in rushing touchdowns (28), and 17th all-time in yards from scrimmage. His 44 all-purpose touchdowns rank 17th best in Packers history as well.
