Ranking the top 10 Packers running backs of all time
- Packers all-time leading rusher tops the list?
- Most rushing TDs in Packers history?
- Some gems through the years
2. Jim Taylor
Nobody has more rushing touchdowns in their Green Bay Packers career than Jim Taylor at 81. At 91 total touchdowns, only Don Hutson has more career TDs than Taylor, in general.
His 8,207 career rushing yards and 69.0 rushing yards per game rank 2nd in franchise history. The Pro Football Hall of Famer is a five-time NFL champion (including Super Bowl I champ), 5-time Pro Bowl selection, six-time All-Pro, and former NFL MVP.
Taylor led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in the 1961 and 1962 seasons, and the 1962 season is probably his most legendary to date. It is the only year in the nine years Hall of Famer Jim Brown played in the NFL in which he did not lead the league in rushing. The reason why?
Jim Taylor. Taylor's 1962 season saw him lead the league with 1,471 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns. Taylor ranks 4th in Packers history in All-Purpose yards from scrimmage and is one of the franchise's most legendary playmakers.
