One thing that has always amazed me about the Green Bay Packers is how many players end up staying in the Green Bay area once their playing days are done. Perhaps it's the low cost of living compared to other NFL cities, or maybe it's falling in love with the city and the sense of community that the Green Bay Packers instill.

Whatever their reason may be, it is one of the things that truly makes Green Bay special. Perhaps even more special is that so many former players continue to be active in the community, whether it be owning businesses, volunteering to coach sports teams, or making media appearances to give fans some insight into the business side of the game we all love.

Sometimes, you get a former player who does all three.

Packers legend Jarrett Bush is excited about the new-look secondary in 2024

Due to the team traveling to Brazil for this week's game, the Karl Brooks Show on 107.5 The Fan in Green Bay was without a co-host, and one former team captain showed up to fill the spot. Super Bowl champ and special teams captain Jarrett Bush, who had an interception in Super Bowl XLV off Ben Roethlisberger, subbed in to talk Packers and catch up on life after the NFL.

Bush is a big fan of what he has seen from Jeff Hafley's new defense.

"They have all the ingredients to be special," Bush told 107.5's Rookie during the show. Bush also compared this unit to the young and hungry squad that he played with, which went on to win Super Bowl XLV, citing Xavier McKinney and Jaire Alexander as being similar to Nick Collins and Charles Woodson, among others.

Bush owns a blow dry bar in Green Bay, a business that was advertised heavily during the Packers' preseason TV broadcasts. Bush has also been helping out with the Notre Dame Academy high school track team, having helped lead the girls' team to third in Wisconsin's Division 2 state meet.

Bush had plenty of praise for Jordan Love and the Packers offense and is incredibly excited to watch the team play in 2024.
