Barring a trade, the Green Bay Packers will have a long wait on the opening night of the 2024 NFL Draft. After reaching the divisional round of the playoffs, they hold the 25th overall pick in Round 1.

However, before they get their turn to make a pick, some significant moves in the NFC North will take place. The Chicago Bears are scheduled to pick No. 1 and No. 9, and the Minnesota Vikings own the No. 11 and No. 23 picks, which they could use to trade up for a quarterback.

Will the Bears and Vikings get their quarterbacks? We know Chicago almost certainly will, but Minnesota may need to trade up. How many quarterbacks will go in the top five? Will any of the top tackles or cornerbacks fall to the Packers at No. 25?

It promises to be an exciting opening night of the draft. The first round begins at 7 p.m. CT, but when will it finish?

When does Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft end?

Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft will finish at approximately 10:30 p.m. CT. The opening night usually takes around three and a half hours to complete, with each team having a maximum of 10 minutes on the clock.

It begins at 7 p.m. CT, with the Chicago Bears picking first. The Kansas City Chiefs will make the final selection of Round 1 unless they trade the pick away.

There are a lot of unknowns entering the opening round of the draft.

Chicago is expected to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the top pick, but beyond that, anything can happen. Who will be the next quarterback off the board, presumably to the Washington Commanders at No. 2 overall? North Carolina's Drake Maye, LSU's Jayden Daniels, and Michigan's J.J. McCarthy are in the mix.

The Packers will hope as many quarterbacks go off the board before No. 25 as possible, pushing other prospects closer to their pick.
