Going into Week 5, the Green Bay Packers sit at a record of 2-2 having lost last week to the Minnesota Vikings. They get set to take on the L.A. Rams who sport a record of 1-3 after having lost last week to a Packers rival, the Chicago Bears, on the road at Soldier Field.

The good news is, one of these teams is going to follow up their loss with a victory. However, the Packers can't afford to be on the losing end.

In a game where Jordan Love is hopefully closer to 100 percent health than he was last week, he's going to be hearing all of the chatter in regards to the Bears beating this very Rams team a week ago. Therefore, the Packers should have no problem beating the Rams, right?

Logically speaking, that makes a lot of sense. But, we all know the NFL is a crazy league.

The Rams, meanwhile, would face an extremely difficult road to the postseason if they were to begin the year 1-4.

As we get set for this matchup, let's take a look at today's announcing crew and which referee will be leading the way in this one.

Announcers for Rams vs. Packers

  • Lead Play-by-Play Announcer: Jim Nantz
  • Color Commentator: Tony Romo
  • Sideline reporter: Tracy Wolfson

Jim Nantz has been with CBS since 1985 and is considered one of the best play-by-play announcers in the business. Meanwhile, Tony Romo is a bit more fresh but has been a great addition to the CBS team since he joined them in 2017.

Referees for Rams vs. Packers

Head referee: Brad Allen

Brad Allen has been an NFL official since the 2014 season, marking this as his 11th year in the league. Over the course of his career, no season has had a bigger impact on Allen's reputation than the 2023 campaign. Just last year, Allen's crew was part of the action that saw a 2-point conversion by the Detroit Lions nullified in the final minute against the Dallas Cowboys.

The crew clearly got this call wrong after video showed Lions offensive lineman Taylor Decker reporting as eligible, but Allen called the penalty on Dan Skipper.

The missed call led to Detroit losing the game and, ultimately, that was a big reason why Allen's crew was disallowed to officiate playoff games last season.
