It's only a matter of time before Myles Garrett is playing for the Packers. I don't have a single source, or even really a hunch, but let's just assume that it's only a matter of time.
Garrett kicked off Super Bowl week with a bang on Monday morning, going public with his wishes to be traded from the Browns after almost a decade featuring a ton of sacks and, like, 15 wins. Still "only" 29, Garrett's a rare example of a future Hall of Famer who's supposedly available while still very much in his prime.

Obviously the Packers need edge rushing help this offseason, and who better to fix that almost immediately than Garrett, who's now replaced Las Vegas' Maxx Crosby as *the* go-to defensive line trade target of the offseason.
And while most people assumed the Browns would require a king's ransom in return for Garrett, according to The Athletic's Senior NFL Writer Diana Russini, that isn't quite true. Russini reported on Monday that, after talking to some GMs around the league, the price isn't quite as high as people would think.
Maybe the price to trade for Myles Garrett isn't so bad after all
"Probably a 1+," the GM told Russini. "Can’t wait for the 'It will be 3 1s' crowd. Not happening. 1 and a 2. 1 and 2 3s. Throw a player in there."
A 1+! What a wonderfully vague way to not really predict anything at all and still smart. Breaking news: trading for Myles Garrett will take a first-round pick, and then other stuff. And if this GM is to be believed, the Packers -- or any other team I guess ... but the Packers -- will have to send a player back in return. If you need to sit down for a minute to get your head around all this, I wouldn't blame you.
So it's going to be Jaire Alexander for Myles Garrett, isn't it? If you're rolling your eyes about how Madden-y that trade is, that's exactly right! We only deal in the most obvious, video game-style trades now. They're more fun. And according to some anonymous NFL GMs, that's actually all it'll take to land Garrett. So the good news is that it's definitely happening, and the better news is that it won't even be that complicated. I love it when a plan comes together.
