The Green Bay Packers have been elite defensively, which is no surprise after they added Micah Parsons to a unit that ranked sixth in scoring defense and fifth in total yards allowed in 2024. Through three games with the three-time All-Pro pass-rusher on the roster, the Packers rank first in scoring defense and third in total yards allowed.

The bigger surprise has been the offense, which finished eighth in scoring and fifth in total yards last season. The group has gotten off to a slow start in 2025, ranking just 18th in scoring and 21st in total yards.

Their struggles were evident in their Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns, when the offense finished with just 10 points and 230 total yards. Tight end Tucker Kraft recently said what every fan is thinking.

Packers TE Tucker Kraft sends a blunt message to the offense

Speaking with the media on Thursday, Kraft noted that the group must be better.

"We did great Week 1, Week 2, coming out trying to put points on the board. We just got to stick to that. It doesn't matter if we're home or away. We're going to come out on the first drive and try to get points on the board. That is just the demand of our offense," Kraft said, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

"We have the best defense in the NFL, so we just have to help them out. We're beating ourselves up, we're getting behind the sticks with pre-snap penalties and we're fed up with our own mistakes and we've just got to be able to limit those in the future and continue to move on."

While the Packers' defense gave up 13 points in the final four minutes of their loss to the Browns, Cleveland's lone touchdown drive needed just four yards. Additionally, they needed just 16 yards to kick the game-winning field goal. Instead, it was Green Bay's offense that let them down.

Both the rushing attack and passing game have regressed after finishing fifth and 12th, respectively, in yardage last season. They rank 20th and 17th in those categories, respectively, in 2025.

The unit has done a great job of taking care of the football, as Jordan Love has largely fixed what many began to believe was a turnover problem. Their first turnover of the season, however, came at the most inopportune time possible as it directly led to Cleveland tying the game.

Perhaps most importantly, the Packers have to figure out how to get Josh Jacobs going. While he has scored two touchdowns, the three-time Pro Bowler has just 180 rushing yards on 58 carries -- averaging a career-worst 3.1 yards per carry.

A Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, who have fielded one of the worst defenses in the entire NFL, could be the remedy the struggling Green Bay offense needs to right the ship. Furthermore, as the offensive line begins to get healthy, the rushing attack — and offense as a whole — should continue to improve.
