Updated Packers depth chart following the first two weeks of free agency

It's been two weeks since NFL free agency began, and it's certainly no secret that the Green Bay Packers have been one of the least active teams in the league.

For those unaware, from the time the free-agent negotiation window opened on the Monday morning of March 9 to 8:00 p.m. Eastern that night, clubs had doled out $2.3 billion in new contracts. But the Packers were one of only five teams not to chip in to that total, joining the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Denver Broncos, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Green Bay did make a move that day, but lost a player, trading Rashan Gary to the Dallas Cowboys.

In the fortnight since, the Packers have only added three external free agents, signing defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, cornerback Benjamin St-Juste, and wide receiver/return specialist Skyy Moore. The only other new player added is linebacker Zaire Franklin, who came over in a straight player-for-player trade with the Indianapolis Colts a couple of days before the negotiating period began, with Green Bay shipping out Colby Wooden.

While the Packers also re-signed several of their own free agents, a list led by center Sean Rhyan, they've also lost plenty of notable players. In addition to releasing Elgton Jenkins, who landed with the Browns, and Nate Hobbs, who signed with the 49ers, Green Bay has also seen Malik Willis (Dolphins), Romeo Doubs (Patriots), Quay Walker (Raiders), Kingsley Enagbare (Jets), Rasheed Walker (Panthers), Emanuel Wilson (Seahawks), and Zayne Anderson (Dolphins) find new homes.

As such, Green Bay's depth chart obviously looks a little different these days.

Packers' updated depth chart after first wave of free agency

Things will obviously change here a month from now when the Packers make their selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, but here's what the depth chart currently looks like following the first two weeks of free agency. And just to be clear, we're going to list things as if everyone is healthy.

Defense (3-4 Base)

For the defensive side of the ball, we're opting to roll with a 3-4, as that's what new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is expected to implement. While he ran a 4-3 during his DC days with the Philadelphia Eagles, he shifted toward a 3-4 while with the Arizona Cardinals.

That said, though, we expect plenty of hybrid looks throughout the year, but we're just rolling this out as the base. You'll also notice 12 slots here, as we've included the nickel position.
