The Green Bay Packers will likely miss several key players against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday.

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs remains in the concussion protocol, and returning in time to play this week appears to be doubtful, at best. The Packers will also likely miss cornerback Jaire Alexander and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper—they missed the win over the San Francisco 49ers and have been listed as non-participants at practice this week.

The other player to watch is linebacker Isaiah McDuffie.

If McDuffie and Cooper can't go on Thursday, the Packers would be down to Quay Walker, Eric Wilson, and Ty'Ron Hopper as the only available linebackers on the 53-man roster. They may have needed to call up Jamin Davis from the practice squad, but the Minnesota Vikings have signed him to their 53-man roster.

Below is the updated injury report for Tuesday. It's important to note that this is an estimation as the Packers went through a walkthrough.

Packers dealing with injury concerns for Dolphins matchup on Thanksgiving

Entering Thanksgiving without Alexander, Cooper, and McDuffie would be tough. The Dolphins have a balanced offense that integrates their rushing attack with the quick-strike passing game. While Tyreek Hill can cause problems deep downfield, tight end Jonnu Smith has become a go-to target for Tua Tagovailoa in the middle of the field.

If the Packers have to go with an inexperienced player like Hopper, it could lead to problems against a Miami offense that uses pre-snap motion to fool defenses as well as any other team.

Green Bay's lack of depth at linebacker could become a problem in this game. The Packers need Walker to back up his dominant performance against the Niners.

Xavier McKinney was added to the Packers' injury report on Tuesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur said he is dealing with a personal matter but will be back later today. It doesn't sound like he will miss Thursday's game.

The Packers don't have many injury concerns, but the importance of the players they could miss can't be understated. Losing Alexander in a matchup against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle is less than ideal. Only having three available linebackers could also hurt against an offense that runs the ball well and can attack the middle of the field.

We'll learn more when the Packers release their final injury report on Wednesday, but it doesn't look great for Doubs, Alexander, or Cooper.
