Ten days after taking a heartbreaking 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions, the Green Bay Packers got themselves back in the win column this past Sunday night, taking a 30-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
With the win, the Packers improved to 10-4 on the year. While they're technically still alive in the race for the NFC North, as they're two games back of both the Detroit Lions (12-2) and Minnesota Vikings (12-2) with three weeks remaining in the regular season, they'd need a lot of help, including a tie in the Detroit-Minnesota matchup in Week 18. And let's get real; that's just not going to happen.
Nevertheless, Green Bay is in great shape in the wild-card race. While two back of the Vikes for the No. 5 seed in the NFC, the Packers have a solid hold on the No. 6 slot, owning a one-game advantage over the Washington Commanders (No. 7, 9-5), a two-game advantage and a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Seahawks (No. 8, 8-6), and a three-game lead on the Arizona Cardinals (No. 9, 7-7).
With a second straight playoff berth essentially locked up, the Packers won't need to concern themselves with the 2025 NFL Draft order for quite some time. But just for kicks, let's have a look at their current standing anyway.
Updated 2025 NFL Draft order heading into Week 16
Heading into Week 16, the Packers are currently projected to have the 27th overall pick in the first round of the '25 draft.
It must be noted, though, that since 14 teams make the NFL Playoffs, only the first 18 selections will be finalized once the regular season ends on January 5. The remaining 14 will be handed out based on postseason results.
Clubs eliminated in the Wild Card Round receive picks 19-24. Those eliminated during the Divisional Round, as the Packers were last season, receive picks 25-28. And the losers of the conference championship matchups receive picks 29 and 30. Each group's order is based on regular-season records, and tiebreakers are used if necessary.
Pick No. 31 goes to the team that loses the Super Bowl, while No. 32 is distributed to the winner.
As Green Bay currently owns the fourth-best record in the NFC, they've been put in the Divisional Round losers section of the order for now.
