Who are the announcers and referees for Packers vs. 49ers today?
It's a huge game. It always is when the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers meet.
While the Packers have a strong chance of reaching the postseason due to their 7-3 record, they can take nothing for granted. They play the Miami Dolphins four days from now before visiting Ford Field for a rematch with the Detroit Lions. It's not impossible they could lose all three, and a 7-6 record creates a different situation entirely. A win here would be significant for two reasons.
It would also push the 49ers closer to a playoff-less season. While they are alive in a competitive NFC West race, they face a brutal upcoming schedule. After this week, they close the season out against the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and Arizona Cardinals. That's as tough as it gets.
The Packers could send them into that stretch with a 5-6 record. Can they make it happen? They must beat the Niners on FOX's America's Game of the Week.
Announcers for Packers vs. 49ers
- Network: FOX
- Lead play-by-play announcer: Kevin Burkhardt
- Color commentator: Tom Brady
- Sideline reporters: Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi
For the second week in a row and the third straight Packers game, FOX is sending its No. 1 crew of Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi. And who can blame them? It's a huge game and a playoff rematch with a lot on the line.
It's the Packers' second appearance on FOX's America's Game of the Week this season, with their first back in Week 9 against the Lions.
Brady has already produced some memorable moments in the booth for Packers games, including his reaction when Josh Jacobs trolled Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson last week. We'll take more big plays like that from Jacobs against the Niners.
Referees for Packers vs. 49ers
Head referee: Craig Wrolstad
Craig Wrolstad and his crew haven't officiated a Packers game since their Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears last season. Before then, his last Packers game was their Week 2 victory over the Bears in 2022. It just seems like Wrolstad likes having a front-row seat to watch Green Bay beat Chicago.
He's a week late this time.
We can expect to see plenty of flags in this game. According to NFL Penalties, Wrolstad's crew is averaging 17.2 penalties per game this season, the fourth-most in the league.
