Wild Aaron Rodgers 2025 projection is the most surprising one yet

This would be a surprise.

February is here. The New York Jets have their new head coach and general manager, but Aaron Rodgers' future is among the biggest storylines, with free agency and the new league year fast approaching.

Sound familiar? Green Bay Packers fans understand better than anyone what it feels like.

Will he retire? Will Jets coach Aaron Glenn want him to stay? That decision may also impact the chances of a Packers-Davante Adams reunion. If Rodgers is in New York, he will presumably want his favorite wide receiver there with him. If not, it's hard to envision Adams sticking around.

Rodgers may walk away from football, but his four-touchdown performance in Week 18 shows he can still play at a high level.

What if Rodgers leaves New York but keeps playing? Which landing spots could make sense? A full Brett Favre switch to the Minnesota Vikings would be equally heartbreaking as it would be hilarious, but the logic is understandable. The Vikings are one of the few contenders who could need a quarterback if they decide to sit J.J. McCarthy for another season.

However, what about the Tennessee Titans?

ESPN's Mina Kimes names Titans as a potential landing spot for Aaron Rodgers in 2025

Could Rodgers go to Tennessee? ESPN's Mina Kimes believes so.

"I don't think they're going to draft a quarterback. I do think they're going to go the veteran route," said Kimes. "His style of play, that style of offense, does mesh reasonably well with Brian Callahan."

Kimes and Dan Orlovsky then agreed that the only quarterback Rodgers would have to fear in the AFC South is C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. It potentially presents a clearer path to the playoffs than he had in New York.

They make some great points. Tennessee may prefer to go with a veteran quarterback in 2025 before starting over with his replacement a year later. The question is whether Rodgers would have any interest in playing for the Titans.

They hold the No. 1 overall pick for a reason, finishing with a league-worst 3-14 record this year. Rodgers will want to go to a team where he can compete for a Super Bowl, but is there enough reason to believe the Titans can become serious contenders in one offseason? Fixing the quarterback problem would help, but they must also upgrade their pass rush and offensive line.

There's reason to believe one home-run offseason could turn the Titans into a playoff team, especially in the AFC South, but to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens in the AFC? That's a long shot and may prevent Rodgers from considering a move to Tennessee.
