Time is a flat circle.

Almost a year ago, Kay Adams played a key assist in the Green Bay Packers landing Xavier McKinney in free agency. She hosted McKinney on the Up & Adams show and told him why the Packers would be a great landing spot. In particular, Adams informed him that he would get the chance to reunite with Derrick Ansley, who coached him in college.

The conversation played a part in McKinney's decision to come to Green Bay.

Fast forward to this week, and Adams is attempting to recruit another player to the Packers, and McKinney is helping get it done.

How about a Davante Adams reunion?

He is a weekly guest on Up & Adams, and this week, Kay Adams has made a point of bringing up the Packers. She is leading the push to bring him back home to Green Bay, and Davante sure sounds interested.

Enter McKinney, no longer the first-team All-Pro safety, but the Packers agent.

Adams spoke about the Packers' potential need for a new wide receiver and mentioned Tee Higgins as a possibility. McKinney responded to the tweet from the Up & Adams account and made his stance crystal clear.

McKinney is all-in on bringing Adams home.

Life hasn't been easy for the All-Pro receiver since leaving Green Bay. The Las Vegas Raiders went 15-22 in the games Adams played. He got a trade to the New York Jets, but his reunion with Aaron Rodgers didn't help the win column, with the team finishing 3-8 after Adams arrived.

Adams remains under contract in New York, but if Rodgers departs and the Jets hit the reset button, there's a good chance they will look to move him. Whether that's via a trade or release remains to be seen, but Adams would likely have a big say in where he ends up.

So, why not Green Bay?

Adams would presumably want to join a contender. The Packers check that box. He knows the offense, has already reached legend status in Green Bay, and could be the missing piece in a passing game in need of receiving help. Beyond that, the Packers need another veteran leader in the locker room alongside McKinney and Josh Jacobs.

A lot must happen to make it work. First, it depends on Adams' future in New York. But if he becomes available and the Packers can make it work, it could be a dream scenario for both sides.

Green Bay gets an upgrade at wide receiver, which rounds out the room and makes life easier for the other pass-catchers, and Adams gets the chance to chase a Super Bowl while adding to his sparkling Packers resume.

It still seems like a long shot, but don't worry—Kay Adams and Xavier McKinney are working hard to get it done.
