If I was writing this post after the first quarter of the Green Bay Packers week two matchup against the New York Jets – it would read something like, “the [very few] wins and [exuberant] losses” …

However, with a narrow, come-from-behind win … there is a longer list of reasons to celebrate this week.

I wrote a week ago that the New York Jets was not a team that the Packers could afford to go to sleep on. It seemed like Packers Nation may have been overlooking Gang Green a little bit; maybe we were underestimating the pressure that the Jets could dial up, after the circus acts of Revis and Tebow and the past three seasons.

I think we all felt a little sick to our stomachs on the first play of the game: a botched snap between center Corey Linsley and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It sure had the look of a bad omen to me.

I could just feel the air going out of the room, and it took its toll mentally on the offense. The next drive was stagnant. The subsequent five drives produced stalled production and three field goals.

There were some positives, including late second quarter heroics by Rodgers and Co., and a fluid second half of football after adjustments were made and nerves were settled at halftime.
