Our own Freddie Boston today took a look at the five most anticipated matchups for the Green Gay Packers this coming season, highlighting games against the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos.

Three of those games will be on the road … and we all know how difficult it is for any team to win on the road – except for the 2014 Dallas Cowboys, who finished the regular season perfect on the road.

The only game the ‘Boys would end up losing on the road didn’t come until they visited Green Bay and lost on the Frozen Tundra to the Packers in the playoffs.

The Packers finished 4-4 on the road last year, losing at Detroit, Seattle, Buffalo and New Orleans.

Clearly, all four of those games were winnable, but for any number of circumstances the Packers couldn’t get on the winning side of the ledger.

But if the Packers are going to have a shot at winning their fifth straight NFC North Division title, they will have to improve their performances on the road.

Next year, in addition to playing each of the NFC North Division teams home and away, the Packers have an interesting and challenging test in front of them.

Here’s their road schedule in 2015:

  • AWAY: Chicago Bears; Detroit Lions; Minnesota Vikings; Denver Broncos; Oakland Raiders; Arizona Cardinals; San Francisco 49ers; Carolina Panthers

So, let’s take a closer look at the non-division games – the games that will help decide whether the Packers continue their play into January of 2016.
