Yes, it’s Super Bowl weekend and for Green Bay Packers football fans here in early February, the sting from last year’s NFC Championship Game meltdown that led into a highly disappointing regular season and the OT loss at Arizona a few weeks ago are still hanging around … but now it’s time to start looking ahead to the NFL Draft to be held in April in Chicago.

So, today we begin a series where we randomly select three mock drafts and take a look at who these mocksters project will be the Green Bay Packers’ first round selection in 2016 … this year, the Packers need to target inside linebacker and tight end, but there are many who feel defensive line may also be a big need, depending on how the Packers deal with B.J. Raji and Letroy Guion.

All three of these prognosticators have chosen differently and provide different reasonings for their picks … but the position they target may surprise. Because the Packers have significant needs at defensive line and most importantly at inside linebacker, there are varying degrees of consideration as to how the Packers should proceed in that first round.

There are many out there who think Packers GM Ted Thompson should target tight end to get a complementary player to Richard Rodgers.
