Aaron Rodgers is a superstar in the National Football League. He is a god in Wisconsin and among all followers of the Green Bay Packers.

What he has done to sustain the image of one of the oldest of all NFL franchises is beyond description. Following on the heels of Brett Favre, arguably one of the greatest of all Packers, Rodgers has forged his own legacy – one that continues to be written.

Winning has become a way of life for the Packers and the team’s legion of fans. Heck, those fans born in the last 25 years or so, they have known nothing but winning from the Packers.

For us old-timers who remember the 1970s and 1980s, we have appreciated the winning ways of the franchise even more … winning is so much sweeter after having to endure the likes of Randy WrightCarlos BrownJerry TaggeJohn Hadl, and Scott Hunter for so many years.

Rodgers once again gears up for a season with nothing but Super Bowl expectations.

It. Is. Time.

The winning must continue and after having not been in a Super Bowl for seven seasons, Rodgers is ready to once again lead this team.

There will be big wins in 2017 and probably some tough losses, but if this team has the will, a few breaks and Rodgers leading them for an entire year, their chances of winning are as great as any team.

With all this talk of winning, we understand basking in the success of the moment. Every time the clock winds down with the Packers leading on the scoreboard, we feel pretty good about the outcome. Another notch in the win column.

But what’s it like for NFL players, such as Aaron Rodgers?

When the final gun sounds at the end of the game and the players and photographers rush the field before heading to the locker room, there is the congratulatory hugs and “great game, man” greetings between players.

If the Packers win, the television network covering the game will pull Rodgers aside for some quick comments for the fans at home.

After that, there is the slow walk to the locker room when the fans in the stands have their chance to hail their conquering hero.
