4) There have been quite a few changes on Pittsburg’s defense since the last time the two teams met in the Super Bowl. How has the team dealt with the loss of players like James Harrison and Casey Hampton?
Not well. Steve McLendon has been inconsistent this fall as the starting nose tackle, and he is probably better suited to play defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme due to his quickness and gap-shooting ability.
The loss of Harrison hurts in the respect that they released him and kept the fat, waste of space known as LaMarr Woodley on their roster instead. Although Jason Worilds has certainly picked up the slack in his contract year, Woodley (5.0 sacks, injured) and rookie Jarvis Jones (1.0 sack) have underwhelmed for much of this season.
