Tight Ends

Richard Rodgers, Brandon Bostick, Andrew Quarless, Ryan Taylor

Another position with a bunch of talented players, but nobody has truly set themselves apart as a #1 here. Rodgers looks to be the starter because of his receiving prowess, but his blocking has been lackluster. Bostick has explosive ability reminiscent of Jermichael Finley, but he has injury issues (ended last season injured; is also currently nursing another injury) and may not be ready to start the season at Seattle.

Quarless is a safe option and has been engrained within the system for years now, but also hasn’t stood out much and has been predicted in some places to end up as a surprise cut. From my view, all three make it.

Players such as Taylor and Jake Stoneburner could also presumably make the roster, but it is more tenuous. Taylor, because of special teams contributions, would get the nod over Stoneburner if the decision comes down to the two of them.
