WRs – Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, Jarrett Boykin
This group is top-heavy so far. Jordy has been one of the top receivers in the league so far, putting up stacks of yardage every week and acting as the focal point of the entire offense. Randall has been a touchdown monster, with five of them already in four games; he also managed to break out for a huge all-around game in Chicago (7 catches, 113 yards, 2 TDs). If these two can keep up that level of production, this will remain an elite offense no matter how little comes from other areas.
As for Adams, he looks to have fully surpassed Boykin as the #3 receiver now. That can’t all be thrown onto the Boykin injury either; he did not produce well even when healthy, while Adams has stepped up and made plays abit more consistently. He could’ve even had a ridiculous touchdown last week if not for a penalty, so there is room for growth here. If you still have Boykin, drop him as soon as you read this. Seriously. He’s all but done making any semblance of an impact, barring injuries to others.
This week, expect more of the same from this group: Jordy as the top option, Randall as the underneath TD threat, Davante as a potential third-option target, and Jarrett as the guy watching from the sidelines.
Predictions: (Nelson) 120 yards, 1 TD; (Cobb) 70 yards, 1 TD; (Adams) 40 yards; (Boykin) Inactive
Verdicts: (Nelson) Must-Start; (Cobb) Must-Start; (Adams) Do Not Start — Yet; (Boykin) DROP
