Super Bowl XLV

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, after beating the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship two weeks prior, had the unenviable task of going up against the Pittsburgh Steeler’s league-leading defense.

But no one was going to tell Aaron Rodgers that he might have some trouble in Super Bowl XLV.

Rodgers threw for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Packers win their 13th NFL championship.

For his efforts on this day, Rodgers was named Super Bowl MVP – something that only Bart Starr and Desmond Howard had earned before him.

The three touchdowns Rodgers threw that day were huge plays, but it was the laser that he threw down the middle of the field to Greg Jenning – a ply that led to a Packers score that helped seal the game – that was the most impressive of all.

Many feel it was Rodgers’ best throw of his career.

After all, it was on the sporting world’s biggest stage and Rodgers stood tall and somehow threaded the needle for the third down completion that kept the drive alive …
