The 2012 and 2013 seasons started and ended the same way for the Packers with defeats to the 49ers.

In 2014, it was another NFC West team who inflicted the same agony onto the Packers – the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle entered the 2014 season as defending Super Bowl champions, and the Packers walked into a beating at CenturyLink Field on opening night.

The Packers were outplayed in every aspect of the game. Rodgers couldn’t find a way through the ‘Legion of Boom’ and the defense couldn’t slow down Marshawn Lynch or Percy Harvin.

January’s rematch shared no similarities until the final five minutes.

This time, it was the Packers that dominated. The physical Seahawks were bullied by the Packers’ offensive and defensive lines.

Not only were the Packers finding ways to score points, but they shut down the hosts’ dangerous offense.

Then, all of a sudden, the wheels fell off. The Packers blew leads of 16-0 and 19-7 to lose, and saw a Super Bowl matchup with the New England Patriots snatched away from them in overtime.

In the 2015 regular season, Rodgers won’t be leading his team into the hostile environment of CenturyLink Field, but will be in the comfort of the Frozen Tundra.

When the schedule is the released, Packers fans will be counting the days until this one.
