Yes, Jeff Janis deserves a lot of credit for his production this preseason.
After being redshirted with Jared Abbredaris, Janis was deemed “too raw” to produce in 2014. He got some playbook immersion and is showcasing his talents after having time to mature.
On the other hand, Myles White has been an interesting case for the Packers for the past few seasons.
He’s never really been inserted into the offense – he never really gained much of a rapport with Rodgers, having spent most of his time on the team as an inactive or on the practice squad.
With Jordy Nelson‘s injury in play, the Packers have ramped up their search for their next great wide receiver, and White has delivered.
He led the team in catches and receiving yards (16, 172 yards) and made a crazy, circus one-handed catch that caught everyone’s attention on the sideline during a rout by the Eagles.
He’s been productive, consistent and is making a name for himself within the Packers organization this year.
He was on the roster bubble for so long – but he may have just pushed his name over the edge with his last two big performances.
