The offensive line has been the most banged up that we have seen them, in a while.

For a minute, 80 percent of the starting offensive line was injured. Though some of those guys are returning from their ailments and the line means to be unified by week one, the Packers have had plenty of opportunity to scout new offensive line talent this preseason.

Josh Walker, playing RG and RT against the Saints Thursday, has been catching some attention.

He’s been pegged as a viable option in case of emergency … and the Packers would do well to utilize him when they can, in practice and scrimmage situations.

Rodgers’ protection is of utmost importance – and there is never such a thing as too much offensive line depth. J.C. Tretter and Don Barclay are locks to their coveted positions, but Walker is a sleeper to pull through.
