Jared Abbrederis

Jared Abbrederis, a former Wisconsin Badger, has been hampered with injuries throughout his NFL career, but possesses many traits the Packers like.

Why he should make the roster: Abbrederis established one thing many of the Packers’ receivers failed to do last season, and that’s chemistry with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers trusted Abbrederis more then Davante Adams and Jeff Janis, and made a point of singing his praises in interviews.

If he can put together a healthy training camp and show more improvements to his game, the Packers might feel he’s got too much potential to cut.

Why the Packers should move on: The biggest roadblock for Abbrederis is health. From a torn ACL to concussions and rib injuries, it seems every time he’s made a step forward, health has forced him back a few.

What Abbrederis doesn’t have is the speed and athleticism of Jeff Janis or Trevor Davis. If either shows enough in training camp, it could mean Abby is the odd man out.

The worry of injuries will remain until he puts together a string of games without any issues. He stayed healthy at the backend of 2015 which could play in his favor.
