Center (2)

Corey Linsley

JC Tretter

Corey Linsley’s hamstring injury remains a concern for the Packers, the third-year center sitting out most of the offseason.

Linsley’s talent was forced to shine through much earlier than expected as a rookie. His first live game snap with Aaron Rodgers came in Seattle for the 2014 season opener. An untimely JC Tretter injury opened the door for the then-rookie, but Linsley hasn’t looked back.

Listing Tretter as a center is almost an insult. After all, he offers immediate backup across the entire line, having played admirably in relief of David Bakhtiari in the wild-card win at Washington last January.

Should Linsley miss any time with his lingering injury, the Packers are in safe hands with Tretter operating at center. Every time he’s asked to step onto the field, JC produces.

When healthy, the Packers are strong at center. Aaron Rodgers has long cried out for continuity at the position, and he finally has it with Linsley entering his third season as the starter.

Sandwiched between two star guards in Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang, the interior of the offensive line is as strong as any.
