Round 2 – Dorian Johnson, OG, Pittsburgh

Overall, this is a very good guard class, but the run on offensive tackles late in the first round and even early in the second could cause a lot of the top guard prospects to slide on Day 2 of the draft.

After losing Lang the Packers are in dire need of a starting-caliber guard on their roster, and while in years past they’ve selected college tackles and then transitioned them to the interior of their offensive line, Green Bay would be smart to just draft a bonafide guard prospect this year.

Outside of Forrest Lamp, there may not be a more gifted athlete at guard than Dorian Johnson. On film he shows excellent footwork, agility, and has the punch off the line to win at the snap.

He also shows the quickness to get to the second level as a run blocker. He’s a day one starter in the NFL and the type of guard Green Bay could use in their lineup.
