Green Bay Packers: Ranking biggest remaining needs after free agency frenzy
13. Fullback
The fullback position still means something in Green Bay, but the Packers are set with Aaron Ripkowski. It’s unlikely they carry two fullbacks into the season, but Joe Kerridge is on the roster for now. Urgency: Low
12. Quarterback
As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy, the Packers will contend for a championship. They are set with Brett Hundley are Joe Callahan in reserve. Urgency: Low
11. Tight end
Despite losing Jared Cook, who was instrumental in the offense’s resurgence at the backend of last year, the Packers have actually upgraded at tight end. Martellus Bennett and Lance Kendricks have made the position a strength. Urgency: Low
10. Wide receiver
The Packers can’t be too short-sighted at wide receiver. Jordy Nelson turns 32 in May, after all. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Ted Thompson selected a receiver in the draft, but it’s far from the team’s biggest priority. Urgency: Low
9. Tackle
Second-year Jason Spriggs provides immediate relief behind two of the league’s premier tackles. Adding another big man in the draft wouldn’t hurt, but there are more pressing needs. Urgency: Low
8. Center
Corey Linsley is the Packers’ starting center when healthy, but losing JC Tretter hurts the depth. Don’t be surprised if Green Bay adds an offensive lineman in the draft that can play multiple spots. Urgency: Low
7. Safety
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Morgan Burnett form a strong 1-2 punch at safety. The development of Kentrell Brice and Marwin Evans is key, particularly since the Packers lost Micah Hyde. Urgency: Low
6. Inside linebacker
The continued development of Blake Martinez and Jake Ryan is important at inside linebacker. Ted Thompson hasn’t made the position a priority in recent years, but he could use a day three pick here again. Urgency: Moderate
