Our Breakdown

All but one writer viewed Marshon Lattimore as the top cornerback in the class. Rather, he had Tre’Davious White as his CB1. The other writers had White as the 3rd, 4th, or 5th corner on their board.

Marlon Humphrey and Quincy Wilson were also held in high regard. Three writers had Humphrey in their top-three, while the fourth writer only had the former Alabama defensive back a few spots lower on his board at No. 6.  Similarly, Wilson was ranked as a high as cornerback No. 2 on one board, and then No. 3, 4, and 7 on the other three.

Gareon Conley was another corner who finished in relatively the same spot on each board, ranging from 2nd to 6th in the individual rankings. Sidney Jones was also in each writer’s top-10 despite suffering a major Achilles injury this spring.

The most polarizing prospects were Kevin King, Fabian Moreau, and Teez Tabor. Two writers did not include King in their cornerback rankings, while one writer placed him 6th and another had him 8th. Likewise, while Moreau was as high as 4th on one board, he wasn’t even ranked on another.

Tabor was another prospect all over the map. One writer had him ranked 5th, while another saw him as the 8th-best corner and yet two other writers didn’t even view him as worthy of the top-10.

Three writers viewed Chidobe Awuzie as a top-10 prospect, while Adoree Jackson only made it on two cornerback boards.

Beyond the top few prospects, cornerback is another position with strong varying opinions. However, this could speak to the depth of the class.
