Our Breakdown

Each writer ranked Jamal Adams and Malik Hooker in their top-three at the position. Three writers viewed Adams as the top safety prospect, while one had Hooker a spot ahead of Adams in his rankings.

Budda Baker was in each writer’s top-five. One writer even put him at No. 2, one spot ahead of Hooker. On the contrary, after the top three safeties, the writers varied quite a bit on how they projected the remaining prospects at the position.

Two writers had Jabrill Peppers as their No. 3 safety, while one writer had him as low as 8th on his board. There were also varying opinions on Marcus Williams and Justin Evans. While one writer had Williams as low as 9th on his board, two writers had the former Utah defensive back in their top-five.

There was even more of a degree of difference with Evans. Only two writers included him in their top-10. One writer had him as his No. 6 safety, while another had Evans ranked 9th.

Marcus Maye, Desmond King, and Eddie Jackson are also prospects some writers regarded highly, while others didn’t even have them ranked in their top-10.
