Safeties (4)

Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Josh Jones, Kentrell Brice

As long as Morgan Burnett and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix stay healthy, the Packers are good to go at the safety position. This tandem is among the league’s best, a rare bright spot in a secondary that leaked yardage last season.

The Packers decided to exercise Clinton-Dix’s fifth-year option earlier this week, a smart decision. He’s now under contract through the 2018 season, and will again take starting duties alongside Burnett.

After losing Micah Hyde in free agency, Green Bay used its second-round selection on Josh Jones, who offers some of the same versatility. Whether Dom Capers throws all three on to the field at the same time at any point remains to be seen.

Kentrell Brice brings some physicality to the defensive backfield, and he displayed plenty of talent when called on last term. His development will be vital for depth.
