Quarterbacks (2)

Starter: Aaron Rodgers

Backup: Brett Hundley

As long as Aaron Rodgers is upright and healthy, the Packers are set at the most important position in football. Their two-time MVP remains the heartbeat of Packers News, and is the biggest factor in any Super Bowl push this team makes in the coming years.

The future at the backup spot remains at little less clear. For now at least it appears Brett Hundley will be the No. 2 for 2017, but according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, this wasn’t a guarantee prior to the draft.

"“The Packers dangled their backup quarterback on the trade market and came close to making a deal on the second day of the draft. Now it appears they’ll likely hang on to him for another year, but expect them to move him before he enters the final year of his contract in 2018. They believe they can get much more in return than the fifth-round pick they invested in him in 2015.”"

Don’t be surprised if a third quarterback is kept on the roster. If Hundley is to depart after the 2017 season, the Packers may want to keep Joe Callahan in the building.

As things stand, the quarterback position is set with the Rodgers-Hundley 1-2.
