1. Josh Jones is a certified stud

The rookie defender has wasted any time in becoming the defense’s unofficial downhill assassin with a break-out showing versus Cincinnati that saw him post 12 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 QB hits.

Whether it was penetrating the middle of the line and torpedoing Joe Mixon on a 1-yard gain or flying in and sacking Andy Dalton on a safety blitz, Jones was an omnipresent force throughout the overtime win.

Jones’ combination of range, reactive quickness and acceleration allow him to get in front of a lot of plays.

And when you pair those skills with an unmistakable violent mentality, the young safety becomes the type of defender that opponents will always need to be mindful of.

Jones is still learning the ropes in pass coverage, but you will gladly take the occasional blown coverage with everything else he brings to the table.
