Aaron Jones: Drop

If you’re like 99 percent of fantasy teams, you need help now and can’t afford to wait on too many injured players to return. Even if you’re sitting pretty in the playoff race, holding Aaron Jones could prevent you from finding a valuable waiver-wire addition this week. Perhaps more importantly, said player could ultimately help one of your rivals. Don’t let that happen and drop Jones if you haven’t already.

The rookie running back is out with a sprained MCL and could miss the remainder of the fantasy season. Given the Packers’ struggles, it’s unlikely he’ll be rushed back. Martellus Bennett might tell you otherwise, but that’s a different story.

If you’re able to hold on to an injured player for later in the season, scan your waiver wire for a Greg Olsen, David Johnson or even Ezekiel Elliott. Yes, Zeke has been dropped in almost five percent of NFL.com leagues. If his owner in your league has impatiently dropped him, scoop him up as he could win you a championship if you make it to the final.

Jones isn’t worth the stash at this point. And if you can land a player like Olsen, who is set to return for the Panthers next week, you’ll be getting a player who can help you right away.
