1. Aaron Rodgers is healthy

The one may sound obvious, but it’s still true. With Aaron Rodgers, the Packers are Super Bowl contenders. Without him they are not. It’s really that simple.

The Packers were flying with a healthy Rodgers last season. The team sat at 4-1 following an impressive road victory in Dallas. They had their sights on the NFC North title, and potentially even a first-round playoff bye. Then Rodgers broke his collarbone, and the Packers didn’t even make the playoffs.

With Rodgers, Green Bay had made the postseason eight years in a row. There’s no reason to believe they won’t make it straight back to the playoffs now that he’s healthy again.

And as long as Rodgers avoids injury, the Packers will be a very difficult team to beat. Last season’s injury led to a number of offseason changes. With a coaching staff shakeup, as well as the changes made on both offense and defense, Rodgers has more talent around him this year.
