The Green Bay Packers begin mandatory minicamp on Tuesday.

Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report for Tuesday, June 12. The Green Bay Packers begin their three-day mandatory minicamp today.

These next three days are important. We’ll learn a lot about the team before they leave for the summer. After Thursday, the focus will shift to next month’s training camp, which will begin in six weeks time. The first training camp practice will be held on July 26, according to PackersNews.com.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is expected to be at mandatory minicamp this week, as reported by Jason Wilde of ESPN on Twitter:

All of a sudden, football doesn’t seem to be too far away. Free agency and the draft is now a distant memory, as is Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone and the disappointing 2017 season.

The Packers’ first training camp practice takes place in 44 days. The first preseason game — a meeting with the Tennessee Titans at Lambeau Field — is just 58 days away. Then the all-important regular season opener against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau, is 89 days away.

But first, the focus is on minicamp.
