Aaron Jones

Even with Jones’ two-game suspension, I feel he will be the one to lead the team in touches and yards when the season is over.

Jones is an exciting and shifty runner who is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball. Jones’ problem going back to college has been leg injuries. This offseason he worked hard at improving leg strength to avoid further problems. Should Jones’ health hold up after his return from suspension, he could be looking at a solid year.

In the only game Jones played from start to finish with Aaron Rodgers, he was an absolute beast. He made quick, smart cuts at the line and exploded through the holes. Jones finished the day with 19 carries for 125 yards with a 6.6 yards-per-carry average and a touchdown.

Jones also did his part as receiver in that game, making a tough catch on the sideline in the second quarter. Being a dual-threat will make it easier for the Packers to use the entire playbook regardless of who is on the field.

A healthy Rodgers will only open more holes for the run game and whoever is back there. But a back with Jones’ skill set can make the no-huddle much more effective. Running Jones on draw plays or delayed handoffs will make it easier for him to get to the second level of the defense, where his speed and ability to make linebackers miss will lead to big gains.

Prediction: 720 rushing yards, 240 receiving yards, five total TDs (three rushing, two receiving)
