Quarterbacks (3)

Aaron Rodgers, DeShone Kizer, Brett Hundley

Barring a trade, it’s going to be difficult for the Packers not to keep three quarterbacks on the roster. They traded for DeShone Kizer earlier this offseason, but Brett Hundley has been better throughout preseason and should make the final 53-man roster.

The Packers kept three quarterbacks in 2014 and 2015. Hundley was kept as the third-string quarterback in 2015 behind backup Scott Tolzien. This year he could begin as the number two, before Kizer eventually wins the job down the road.

Running backs (4)

Jamaal Williams, Ty Montgomery, Devante Mays, Aaron Ripkowski

Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery will receive the bulk of the carries at running back while Aaron Jones is out for the opening two games due to suspension. Devante Mays was back at practice on Monday, according to Zach Kruse of Packers Wire. For now, I have him beginning the season as the third running back.

He’ll need to play well in the final preseason game and when given an opportunity during the regular season to keep his spot once Jones returns.

Williams will likely be the starter to begin the season, and if he plays well, could continue to be the Packers’ featured back for the remainder of the year. He has an excellent opportunity in the opening two games.
