Linebackers (9)

Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Reggie Gilbert, Vince Biegel, Kyler Fackrell, Blake Martinez, Oren Burks, Ahmad Thomas, Antonio Morrison

With 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in preseason, Reggie Gilbert has secured his spot on the roster and will be a key part of the pass rush rotation this season. It’s been a quiet preseason for second-year Vince Biegel, although he did tie for the team lead in tackles against the Raiders with five.

The biggest change is the addition of Antonio Morrison, who the Packers traded for this past weekend. It was a move the team had to make following the injuries to Jake Ryan and Oren Burks. If Burks misses any time in the regular season, Morrison will likely play alongside Blake Martinez.

Cornerbacks (5)

Kevin King, Tramon Williams, Jaire Alexander, Josh Jackson, Davon House

This is where keeping an additional quarterback can make it a little more difficult. With Lenzy Pipkins traded away, and with Antonio Morrison taking an additional roster spot, I’ve got the Packers keeping five cornerbacks.

If Green Bay decides against keeping three quarterbacks, seven receivers or nine linebackers, it will open up room for a sixth corner.

Rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson have been excellent. Jackson is arguably the Packers’ preseason MVP. The return of Tramon Williams is also great news. The Packers have made major improvements at cornerback this offseason.

I’ve got five corners making the roster, but don’t be surprised if the Packers keep six.
