Safeties (5)

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Kentrell Brice, Josh Jones, Marwin Evans, Jermaine Whitehead

I’m sticking with the same five safeties as in last week’s roster predictions. The fact the Packers haven’t signed a free agent at the position shows their confidence in this group. If they were going to make a move for a player like Eric Reid, who is still available, one has to assume they would have done so a week or two ago.

Kentrell Brice will likely start alongside Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. It’s a big season for Clinton-Dix, who is on the fifth and final year of his rookie contract and will become a free agent next spring.

Raven Greene has been impressive, and he will provide competition for a spot on the 53. Still, I’m going with Marwin Evans and Jermaine Whitehead to make the roster. This week’s game is a big one for Greene.

Special teams (3)

Kicker: Mason Crosby

Punter: JK Scott

Long snapper: Hunter Bradley

Mason Crosby has been perfect in preseason, and he continued that against the Raiders. Crosby is ready for the regular season to begin.

The biggest question now is who will be the long snapper. The competition between seventh-round pick Hunter Bradley and Zach Triner will go down to the final preseason game. For now, the edge goes to the draft pick.

JK Scott has been impressive throughout the offseason, and he’ll be the Packers’ new punter this year.
