3. Geronimo Allison

Getting back to the wide receivers, Geronimo Allison is giving defensive coordinators even more to think about. Allison was on the receiving end of a beautiful 39-yard bomb for a touchdown. Rodgers’ first touchdown of 2018 gave the team the confidence it could pull off the comeback as well as cement Allison as a legit option in the pass game.

Allison finished the game with five catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. While those numbers are not eye-catching, his play was solid and made a big impact.

Davante Adams deserves as much praise as both Cobb and Allison, but with Adams being the new number one target, his play was expected. Allison’s was nothing more than projection.

Allison took advantage of one-on-one opportunities and made the Bears pay.

He doesn’t have game breaking speed or the pedigree of a high-round draft pick. Allison simply runs good routes, is where he needs to be when the play breaks down, and most importantly, has the trust of Aaron Rodgers.

Allison may have games where his impact will be minimal this season, but in Week 1 he was as valuable as any Green Bay Packers receiver.
