Start ‘Em

Davante Adams

Adams has comfortably settled himself in as wide receiver one for the Packers. Most drafts had him going in the second round, and for a receiver drafted that high it’s hard to ever leave them on the bench.

This week is no different against the Vikings. Xavier Rhodes will be all over Adams, which will make him touchdown dependent. Rhodes will be able to prevent any deep passes towards Adams, but if Green Bay sticks to the short slant routes, it’s the run-after-the-catch ability that makes Tae such a deadly threat.

His ability to swiftly shake off defenders can make him still productive against any defensive back. Don’t expect any massive numbers if Adams is your WR1, but don’t expect him to put up a goose egg this week either.

Mason Crosby

Most of the time when the Packers and Vikings play each other it ends in a low scoring game. The touchdowns will be scarce, which leaves the kickers to rely on tacking on the points. Crosby has been the ol’ reliable for Green Bay for several years, and this week won’t be any different.

Being at home should help control Crosby’s confidence as long as it remains fair weather at Lambeau Field. There’s a good chance that Green Bay’s kicker will be able to score double digits on your fantasy team. That could be the deciding factor on whether your team wins this week or not.

Geronimo Allison

Geronimo is the WR3 defenses keep underestimating, which allows him to sneak in big plays. While the Vikings will be spending the majority of their time focusing on Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Jimmy Graham, it looks like Allison is the top candidate for being a deep threat.

Rodgers places the same amount of faith in G-Mo as he would towards any of his receivers, and Allison continues to deliver.

Allison made a spectacular splash on his 39-yard touchdown catch last week, while being heavily covered by Kyle Fuller. Minnesota will most likely place rookie CB Mike Hughes on Allison, who made waves of his own getting a pick-six in Week 1 against the 49ers.

Geronimo will be a much bigger challenge for Hughes, and Rodgers will punish the young defender if he sees any openings. If Allison is sitting on your bench, consider him a solid FLEX player this week.

Aaron Rodgers

Every year in the fantasy draft there is one person who reaches for Aaron Rodgers in the first or second round. Locking up one of the best fantasy quarterbacks right away is a bold strategy and creates a nervous question on whether to play him this week.

Rodgers’ knee is still hurt, but the severity is still in question. Unless there’s another elite quarterback at your disposal, such as Ben Roethlisberger against Kansas City’s weak secondary, then it will safe to stick with Rodgers.

The King of the North still scored 24.9 points in standard scoring leagues, all accumulating in just the second half against the Bears. Rodgers should still score about 20 points in fantasy. Just don’t expect three touchdowns again this week.
